Heard in a meeting
"If it is good, it will stay. If it is bad, it will go away. That goes for any person, any attitude. It is a matter of the heart. Light your little corner and you will be amazed at what is attracted to the light."
"Practice being while becoming."
"Did you ever wonder what your life would be like? Well, this is it. The fantasy is over. Now get to living."

What a beautiful photo you've captured. These quotes are very important - especially the first. I believe that about truth. It just is. It doesn't need any supporting evidence. That's how we know what illusions are. They are what we work so hard to convince others of. Have a great Saturday Syd!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, spring!
ReplyDeleteThe pre-dawn song of chuck-will's-widows, and now the serene and exquisite of one of nature's flying jewels! That giant luna moth is just lovely.
Nothing more need be said. I will carry these symbols of earthly peace as long as I can.
Happy spring,
Hugs,

Holiday wishes your way, dear Syd
ReplyDeleteGood stuff Syd, Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is it huh? I never wanted to be an alcoholic... not something I aspired to. But I drank instead of college, making my marriage work or raising my kids properly. It looks like I'm getting a second chance that I don't deserve. Thank God. Awesome post, Syd.
ReplyDeletethanks for that. : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts to start my day. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteA SUCCESS STORY:
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be an alcoholic--REALLY.
And I succeeded, even EXCEEDED all expectations, in every way!
Finally I wanted sobriety. And I am still succeeding.........
Thanks, Syd. Good topic, good meeting. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteTo you and your mom, Happy Easter.jeNN
ReplyDeleteMy emails have a quote "without change there would be no butterflies." Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes to live by Syd. I'm going to try and remember those today and tomorrow as I set out to light my little corner of the world. I hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteIn my mind, the first thought is similar to the idea of "letting go" and if it was meant to be it will come back to you and if not, it won't.
ReplyDeleteI've experienced just that in a very important area of my life. I let go, Mr. Steveroni came back and we are the happiest for it. I thank God every day.
Prayer Girl
These are really good, the third one hit me like a ton of bricks (in a good way)
ReplyDeleteLove this post, Syd
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! ~T~ xoxo
Happy Easter, Syd. I love the things that we hear in meetings. That's where I first heard the expression "Wherever you are, be there" .
ReplyDeleteLove the last quote, and the luna moth. I saw my first two while in Georgia in February.
ReplyDeleteThis is it.
ReplyDeleteI just found your page today. I am slowly finding folks to connect with. Raised by an alcoholic father, and have two grown sons that are alcoholics, clean and sober. The youngest just got his first year token. They are both two of my favorite people on this earth:) God is good. I have much work, a life time to do within myself and I am happy to be on this journey. I especially loved the quotes in this post. Thank you. I will be back!!! ~Peace
ReplyDeleteTo go along with yours, I've often heard it said that Life is NOT a dress rehearsal. This IS the main event.
