Sunday thoughts

It's been a nice weekend out on the boat. I've thought quite a lot about the murder of a friend's sister that was discovered on Thursday.

My wife and I are going by the house tomorrow. I can't imagine how difficult this is for my friend and her mother.

I am going to enjoy the rest of the day on the water. I hope that your weekend is going well.

Life is precious. Enjoy it, live it and don' t waste it.

  1. I'm so sorry Syd...nothing you can say to ease the pain...just to be there is all you can do. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be.

  4. Syd, about life: I am enjoying it, living it, and certainly not wasting it--today.

Murder is always terrible, and the closer to one it is, the more terrible it becomes.

  9. Oh my, that is horrible. Any sudden unexpected death is traumatic but murder adds so many layers of pain and horror. I hope the person who did it pays for the crime.

Your friend is blessed to have people like you and your wife in her life.

  10. Syd,
I wish I could say I can't imagine, but the truth is I can. Its not the easiest thing to digest and time doesn't always make it easier. You each have my empathy and my thoughts, its going to be a fierce storm in the coming days for your friend, I hope they have support nearby to help them weather it and work through it.

  13. So sad. Murder is the MOST difficult to cope with. My first spouse, father of my sons...his father was murdered...several years later their mother drank herself to death. A lot of damaged people in the family, so much pain.

  16. I've had to be there for a friend in a similar situation. It was awful for all of us but taught me as much about life as anything I've been through.

    Blessings and aloha...

  17. Life is fragile and it should be handled with care.

I am sure that by just showing your support to the family helped.
