Every person has the power to make others happy.
Some do it simply by entering a room --
others by leaving the room.
Some individuals leave trails of gloom;
others, trails of joy.
Some leave trails of hate and bitterness;
others, trails of love and harmony.
Some leave trails of cynicism and pessimism;
others trails of faith and optimism.
Some leave trails of criticism and resignation;
others trails of gratitude and hope.
What kind of trails do you leave?

Lou, you blazed a great trail in blogger land. You provided hope and courage to those who were struggling with the demons of their children. You showed me your strength, your compassion and your vulnerability. I think that the trail that I'm on has been made more passable by your presence. Thanks for that.
Awwww. Thanks, Syd.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your last three or four blog entries. Much too much to comment on but they were eye-opening and very thoughtful. I love the poem in this one. Thanks for being there for us, Syd.
ReplyDeleteSyd:
ReplyDeleteA lovely sentiment and a a shared wish.
Thank you...
Blessings and aloha...
Even though I have only been blogging a short time I so appreciated and cherished Lou's comments. I also do the same for yours. She is missed.
ReplyDeleteLove that poem. It's beautiful! And what kind words about Lou. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea, to consider what kind of trails we blaze and leave behind us.
ReplyDeleteI want to be the type of person who makes people happy when they enter the room, who drips off bits of me in harmony and faith.
I'm going to go pick dahlias and ponder this.
Amen and amen.
ReplyDeleteI miss Lou, but I loved her posts and love her comments.
