Contentment

I got home at 1:30 AM and was bleary eyed. I left my bags in the car and simply crashed. Today has been a reprieve from all the problems. This morning I recounted the events of the last few days to my sponsor who listened patiently. I needed to vent a bit and lay out how I felt. After doing that, I took a long nap and truly let all the bad thoughts go.

I thought about the bird that rode with us on the ship: Contented to have a place to rest before flying away to where it belonged. I'm contented for the time being to have a place to rest and to be back where I belong also.

  2. There is no place like home. And thank our HPs for our sponsors so we can dump and let all the toxic emotions go.

  4. Syd,
Sounds like you have a good sponsor! When I'm troubled or upset I use visualization a lot. It calms my spirit..and gives me some peace if only fleeting!
No place like home, and no bed like your own!
    Have a great weekend!

  5. cool. rest. enjoy.
I'd be pissed off too if I was cooped up with a bunch of miserable guys in a small area. I cannot help but be affected by others moods, good and bad, so need to 'detox' after exposure to messed up people. of which there are many!
2 drops of PROPER Juniper essential oil in a bath of CLEAN water is a GREAT way to ? wash that 'stuff' off. You just soak in the water for 10-20mins or something. that's all. Works for me! I got that tip from Patricia Davis book by the way..
