Heard in a meeting

"Fair? Life isn't fair. Get used to it. Now, what was your problem?"

"Most of us can read the writing on the wall, we just assume it's addressed to someone else."

"It is easy to sit up & take notice. What's difficult is standing up and taking action."

"What most of us need is a good kick in the seat of our cants!"

  2. Wow...That first one probably should have been on my principles resentment list. "Life isn't fair."

Of course the solution to the problem happened in the thought as I began to write that. Because I believe in a God of Grace.

Thank God there is Grace in place of fairness (justice) because I don't want to know what it would look like if I got everything that was coming to me :)

I'm now glad to deal with life on Gods terms, on life's terms... it's all designed more perfectly than I could ever plan it, so acceptance is the answer.

Thanks for giving me something to be grateful for this morning.

I'm always grateful for your blogs and comments :)

  4. I just had dinner last night with a sponsee who was whining about how "Its not fair!". Of course, she is alcoholic too. Life is NOT fair, its not supposed to be!

good quotes today, Syd. Have a beautiful Sunday!

  8. I really like all if these. Funnily, I think I've usually seen the writing on the wall addressed to myself, though.

I'd add to the first one that life isn't really unfair to a great many of us either. There are some truely unfortunate but mostof us have much to be grateful for.

  9. As I read back in a few of your blogs I realize that you are probably on your way for a vacation. Like me, you live in an area where a lot of people go to vacation in ...so I wonder where you will choose. I hope you blog about it. Have fun,

  14. Love the kick in the seat of our cants.:}
In the book of Job 18-19 it says..

18 Is he not the One who says to kings, 'You are worthless,'
and to nobles, 'You are wicked,'

19 who shows no partiality to princes
and does not favor the rich over the poor,
for they are all the work of his hands?
