Just in case you have to do this someday....
I once got snagged by a fish hook in my arm. Nothing as dramatic as this occurred. I had to poke the hook through with plyers and then cut off the barbs to remove the hook. Amazngly, it did't hurt!
I'm not fishing for anything today. Have a hook free Saturday!
Funny, cause this is one of indicators of emotional health. Fish hooks. For years my family has felt like a bowl of fish hooks. And I can't go in and just get one hook I get barbed and hooked by the entire bowl !! My brother killed himself last month and I am enormously sad about this. And the fish hooks feel like they are all around me right now. But if I work my program I will be ok. I used to talk to my brother everyday for the last 2 years and I miss him. I want to stay out of the bowl of fish hooks but stay available.
I had one land in my hand like this and my mom had one land on her lower lip...OMG that was terrible, but thank goodness we were with people who knew what to do and did it well without the pain of the barbs and such...great clip actually, icky but informative...LOL
:) I'm invited to go fishing next Saturday. It will be my first time on the ocean in a small (non commercial) boat and my first time fishing on the ocean.
Yeeeooow! Have a good weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteCall me a wimp but I just can't look at this.
ReplyDeleteMary running for cover, wimpishly
Imagine a fish hook like this one in a duck's leg. I wrote a post about removing just this thing from a duck one time.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to a bunch of guys to high five over a fish hook incident. I just had my eyebrows waxed and I didn't even flinch..so there :-P

ReplyDeleteRarely, if ever, have you posted about hookers. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteGosh, lucky there was anesthesia on board!
ReplyDelete"Hell no, Captain, it din't hurt a bit..." said the macho-man with bravura.
Never had my eyebrows waxed. (Kim A.)
7 seconds in I stopped. I can't watched that. I did like Dumb Bush and hooked my cheek once. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteCurious, I watched the clip and found it interesting and ingenious. Glad I don't fish.
